Make a folder called windows on the flash disk if there is not already one and put these 2 files that I have attached into that windows folder. Then reset your BrailleNote twice. After that, most of the reset and startup sounds will be gone, but there will still be one little beep that can not be gotten rid of or turned off. If you ever want to have the sounds turned back on, just delete the windows folder and reset your BrailleNote.

Hi,

You do not need to wear them. Simply plug them in and keep the ear-buds in your pocket, or in the case so no one hears the sounds of the unit rebooting up.

I cant wear them, because I have hearing aids. It just freezes
constantly. The volume is still loud enough for s"one to hear.

Hi Petras,

Can you simply wear a set of head phones or ear buds? This should
greatly reduce the volume of the sound being emitted from your
Apex, and if the device has a volume control you should also be
able to eliminate the possibility that anyone else around you
will hear anything at all. Hope this helps.
