Hello
One of the many benefits of the Touch is that a monitor or HDMI television can
be plugged in and instantly active. There is no command or function necessary
to turn the external monitor on. You can even turn off your Touch's touch
screen while maintaining the video feed to the external monitor.

I would think the manual would have the info you need. You'd plug in the
monitor to the VGA port and then there must be a command to turn it on. I'd
check the index under either external monitor or visual display.
