John,

It worked just fine on my laptop. Before running BB I deleted the bbsettings
and bbtemp folders that were in the user root folder. I made sure there were
no entries in the roaming folder. There weren't because I had never run this
version on this computer. I opened BB with the command java -jar
brailleblaster.jar with no command line options. I typed in some text and
translated and saved it. Everything worked fine. There were no errors from
BB or at the command prompt when I exited. The folders were there in the
roaming folder. In the brlblst\temp folder there were five files. It looked
normal.

I am baffled. I can't imagine what is going on with your system. If there is
anything else I can try, let me know.

Best regards from Ohio, U.S.A.,

Vic

Windows.

My Windows is the same and has the latest updates. An update has caused
problems before.
