Probably best not to address an internet URL from LibLouisUTDML. I take it that for now LibLouisUTDML requires that input is from a file on disk? Would it be that hard to fix it so that input can be via a memory buffer of some sort? The first saves the working document complete with UTDML. The second removes UTDml but keeps all editing changes and "locked" braille which has been moved into the document. On input the makeDocumentModel method still takes a file generated by liblouisutdml to which UTDML markup has been added. This will probably be a temparary file. It is not needed once the document has been parsed. I think it is possible to add a function to liblouisutdml to retrieve a file from the Internet. This would be called something like translateURL Perhaps something could also be added to the Java bindings to handle an InputStream. John -- John J.
