Keith, 

About number 5 on your list. Do you meant liblouisutdml semantic-action 
files? If so, I can make those very easily, since liblouisutdml will 
make a prototype semantic-actionn file for unfamiliar documents. 
Documennts do not require separate configuration files. 

I've been thinking that if anything in a <brl> element is edited the 
whole elemennt should be locked. This will greatly simplify handling of 
multiple edits in the same element.

How will changes in formatting be handled? Suppose the transcriber wants 
to put a series of equations on different lines and then align them so 
that equal signs etc line up?
