Yes and those links are for the JRE. For some reason Oracle puts JDK in the path to the JRE download, but check the file names, they are JREs. Also I used copy and paste from the JRE links on the Oracle website.
Note though that those links actually don't work as they require that you have accepted the license for the JRE (probably something like your session when accessing the Oracle website stores that).

Shouldn't we be downloading the JRE and not the JDK? Let's see what they have to say about space requirements. We'll probably have to wait until Monday. Right now I think we only have to be concerned about the JRE for Windows. I favor having both a 64 and a 32 bit version. Where should BrailleBlaster go to get a JRE? I have links for a specific version of the JRE on the oracle website (JRE 7U7) but this will not point to any newer versions when Oracle releases them. The alternative is for a JRE installer to be placed on the BrailleBlaster.org website, give it a name which will be the same for any updated version (if and when we put newer releases there). The second option is possibly preferrable to the first from a technical view as it means we have control over the download URL and so can ensure the installer will keep working. It also means we can ensure versions which may cause BrailleBlaster problems will not be downloaded by the installer. The only thing is, it will of course increase space used and data transfer on the BrailleBlaster.org website. So what do others think? To actually add the download stuff looks like it might only be a few lines of code in the installer, I just want to get it right on where to download from. Also, should it be the JRE for the platform (IE. if the user has a 64-bit system, it will download a 64-bit JRE)? Michael Whapples
