Francois,
These characters don?t display on the screen in any program I have tried
even though I can see them in Word and Notepad with Window-Eyes. They are
from C2 if that means anything to you.

Hi, a bit of googling reveals that there seems to be issues with some
characters being displayed as a space in Notepad++ depending on the font
that is used or the selected encoding. The same documents display fine in
Word or other more sophisticated text editors. You can try changing the font
in the Settings -> Style Configurator menu, or try another Encoding and see
what happens. I use French characters in many documents and never had any
problem.

Something strange, these characters weren't showing up in Word either. Since
Window-Eyes accesses the Word DOM I could edit the file just fine and it
read perfectly. A sighted user couldn't edit it but I could.
