Sounds like something in C or other native compiled code is failing in its normal non-helpful way. Either you have found a bug in the JVM or its in liblouis/liblouisutdml, would be my guess. Failure from Java code should really give a stack trace.

John,

The checktable subcommand won't work for me.

I type: brailleblaster.jar checktable en-us-g2.cpp and press enter.

I immediately get the system prompt again and hear "cancel button." Soon a
dialog comes up that wants me to send error information to MS about Java
Platform SE binary. There is no information gelling me what happened.

Hi Vic,

The bug is probably pretty simple. I'll have a look. Anyway, you can
always use the translate subcommand. Speaking of that, there is a new
subcommand, checktable It checks a liblouis table for errors and prints
error messages if it finds any. The syntax is:

checktable tablename

It needs a bit of work, but produces good results.

John,

I know you are busy with other things now, but I wanted to let you know
about a problem I am having with the latest BB build. When I type in text,
I
can translate it just fine. However, when I open a file when I choose the
translate command on the menu, BB just disappears. It closes itself. I
have
tried this with a couple XML files with the same result. There is no error
log or any other new file created when this happens. Just FYI.
