Gwen, an interesting non-fiction book about wagon trains I really enjoyed that's in the collection is called "Women's Diaries of the Westward Journey" by Lillian Schlissel. Be forewarned, though, while it is entirely "g" rated it is very sad in parts as you read about all the losses these women document in their diaries of family members during the journeys, especially children.
