Oops--sorry--I sent without wiriting my message.
I memorized the preamble because there was a delightful movie, in the late '40s
or early 50's, with a young and beautiful Elizabeth Taylor, Roddy McDowell, (I
think) and Jose Iturbi, which she recited, very rapidly, the Preamble when she
was angry, and I thought that was much better than swearing (which w e weren't
allowed to do and I didn't know how howt o do. smile
Perhaps one of you who are my contemporaries will remember the name of the
movie. IMDB failed me. It only has recent movies when I looked under Taylor's
name. I thought it was The Ambassador's daughter but it wan't the one listed
there.
