Subject: [bookshare-discuss] heads up mystery readers!

I just read g.Cindy's new books list, and the first two books sent me into
spasms of joy. ("spasms of joy"? oh well...)

  ***Phantom Prey by John Sandford
  Quality: Excellent, almost no errors.
  Fiction
Synopsis: A widow comes home to find blood on the
walls and her college-age daughter missing. She begs
Lucas Davenport's wife to get Lucas involved, which he
  reluctantly does, until...
  Copyright Date: 2008

I have been following Lucus Davenport since the late '90s, and have gone back
to read almost everything he's written. If you like police procedurals and
rough and tough crime, Davenport's your guy.

  The second book is:
"***Careless in Red by Elizabeth George
  Quality: Excellent, almost no errors.
  Fiction
Synopsis: After the murder of his wife, DS Thomas
Lynley spends 6 weeks hiking the bleak and rugged
coast of Cornwall. One day he discovers the body of a
young man at the base of a cliff.
  Copyright Date: 2008"

Elizabeth George's inspector Lynley series is great on character development
and tough on criminals.

I must admit that Ms George's last book, "What Came Before He Shot her"
through me for a loop when Ms George kind of off-handedly killed one of the
major characters. But, readers are a pretty forgiving lot, at least I am.

"Careless in Red" should be a good read.

  Way to go bookshare.

committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is
the only thing that ever has."--Margaret Mead
