I think that if the copyright date is before 1923 it is in the public domain.

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] copyright?

Hi all,
Can someone remind me again where the copyright year window falls for material in the public domain, meaning one can if on bookshre get it without membership, and where that year starts to run? Looking for something that may not even be there, but that year applies to other places too.
thanks,
Karen
