Hi, A. J. I think it would depend on the topic of your books and how easy they are to obtain. Textbooks are usually sent to the Bookshare office to be scanned. This is because volunteers cannot usually get textbooks from a local library and have difficulty scanning them due to their text boxes, side bars, and such. Textbooks are often expensive, and this makes them harder for volunteers to come by as well. It isn't a hard and fast rule, but I don't think textbooks are usually taken from the wish list. The fastest and most reliable method is to contact the Bookshare office to get them to process the books for you. If you have print copies of the books, you can mail them to Bookshare and get your books in time for the start of classes. If your books are novels or nonfiction books that one can buy in a typical bookstore, volunteers will often take on these books if they're needed for a class.

I've got book lists for classes which start on January 15. Should I submit them to the bookshare wish list? In other words, how likely are the books to be submited before this date? Thanks, A. J.
