I had heard that that will be supported in future upgrades.

Is there brf support for the Stream, or if not, is there any plan to
include that in future firmware updates? That would be the one thing that
would make me want to jump on getting the device. I can translate brf to
text in Kurzweil, but it's not always perfect.

Yes, currently the documentation on the Stream is not fully flushed out. So,
I would contact them directly to get the information on how to download a
bookshare book to the Stream. RFB&D is still looking at the Stream to ok it
for there books.

I have a link in my internet explorer to Humanware Canada which makes and
sells the stream, and a smarter person them myself might know how to put the
link in the email.
Too bad you're stuck with me.
Anyway I went there and downloaded the user guide and skipped through it. I
also went through the FAQs and I found nothing specific. I think though that
you can probably download the *.bks file directly to the stream. Failing
that you would want to unpack the book and download all the files to the
stream. Since this is a daisy player it uses bookmarks and the like which
are encoded in the various files in an unpacked bookshare book.
I know the stream is supposed to read RFB and D files which would
necessitate copying the whole CD of a book directly to the stream.
You transfer files either by using Windows Explorer: Or according to the
user guide there is also transfer software that comes with the Stream.
I hope that when you guys get the stream you put reviews on this list. I
listened to the presentation on tec talk: there is a link to that on
humanware's website, and I want one bad.

Sincerely Yours:
Duane Iverson
