Hi Kim,I am honestly not sure of an example myself. I can only think of a couple of examples, but these may not be what Roger means. There is a copy of the entire fire and ice series by George r. r. Martin. He wrote the game of thrones. There was at the time a section of the next book in the series included. I have not read the book, as of yet, but believe it is part of the series I have awaiting my attention. So, at the end of the 5 books that are included in their entirety there is a section or even a draft of the 6th one. This may be what Roger is talking about? I have come across a few nonfiction compilations of books like this. More in searches. Say a collection of books that showcase the 6 best diet plans. You might find the dash diet, the Virgin diet, etc., all in one ebook. is this making sense?
If I am off the mark, Roger can correct me. Karen On Sun, 27 Apr 2014, Kim Friedman wrote:

I would prefer to download a whole book rather than a promo or preview, so how does one know what one is getting? I suppose that you realize that publishers are simply providing bookshare with the same ebook they sell to the public in many cases? I am not sure why the preview information presents an issue...no one is making you read that section after all? Have you noticed that some books have a teaser chapter at the end to get you to buy the next book in the series? I think that is what is meant. If this becomes a problem, I would suggest that bookshare start giving the number of megs or whatever. They could use daisy as a standard. That would also tell us when those bundled books might be too big to open on our devices. I've found that when they won't open in daisy or .brf, I can get them in mp3 and (cross my fingers) so far those have opened. -----Original Message----- From: Estelnalissi Sent: Friday, April 25, 2014 9:14 PM To: bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Re: The Penguin has landed!!! Dear Roger and Booksharian Friends, Roger, what do you mean by books that are nothing more than advertising? How can a book be advertisement? How did you discover them? How do you identify them? I can't get the concept. Do you know a title I can check out to have a look? Trying to conceive of an advertisement book reminds me of one of my oldest Bookshare memories. Though the answer was sarcastic, it struck me as so funny at the time and still brings a smile when I think of it. A volunteer wrote to request that some pamphlets be scanned. The staff answer was no, "It isn't called Pamphlet share." I have noticed for a long time that a lot of the publisher quality books really amount to nothing but advertising. When I come across one of those I always find myself asking, does this really belong in the Bookshare collection. In any case, I am currently working on scanning a book that was published by one of the Penguin imprints. I hope I can at least get it into the collection before Penguin does it for me and keeps it from being accepted. Someone on the volunteer list said there are 3,000 books added, but he didn't say what kind of books! Jacques, Lescourt, Kerr, Heinlein, Tamar Meyers, and more, much much more! We have been givena bonanza, a real bonanza!I'm so excited! Oh, alan Steele There are mysteries, Regencies, Science Fiction, fantasy! Oh, this is so wonderful! One caveat! Some of the new authors' books are ads for upcomingtitles. So if you download them they may be just teasers, so be sure to read the book blurbs! Yes, folks, the Penguin has landed indeed! Yep, this is not a gray statement, it's black and white, Penguin colors! Oh, better have lots and lots of time on your hands if you are going to cull the new Books Page. I have to go because I've got anappt. but I'mgoing to be a boomerang! Oh, man! Wooo!!!
