It depends on which ww book you read. They do emphasize them in some
contexts, especially in the old core plan, and the new filling foods
emphasis.

I am surprised at the Weight Watchers lack of emphasis on whole
grains. Am I incorrect or do a lot of their recipes seem to imply use
of white rice over brown? Short grain brown rice is pretty quick to
prepare and certainly can be substituted but in my validating I
somehow remember little about whole grains.
