Hi Chris, I don’t know about XP, but I use IE8 with a Windows 7 machine. Sometimes my downloads fail, but if I don’t get an E-mail, I go back to Bookshare and check. Usually it has failed, but I just download it again from the general catalog, wait for the E-mail, and then I can get it onto my computer eventually. If it keeps failing, perhaps you could ask support about your XP? HTH! I ask because every time I have tried to download the version that has both text and audio, the download is sent to me via email if it succeeds but typically the download simply fails. Perhaps it is due to using an XP machine with IE8? ----- Original Message ----- From: Roger Loran Bailey To: bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, April 22, 2014 8:15 PM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Re: Speaking of Voices for Bookshare Reading Just download the Bookshare Daisy audio version. It comes with its own voice and that voice is of much higher quality than Heather or Ryan. You might be able to go to the Humanware site and download them for your device. Dont know but you could give it a try. Regards, Kim Friedman. I actually use JAWS and my Braille way more than my stream for these books because honestly I find the voices of Heather and Ryan bothersome:) (yes I have the latest version of the VR-Stream downloaded) and not ideal for book reading.
