Hi Cindy,
I think the musical was called Tomfoolery.
I have heard people read their works who lived at about the same time. Carl
Sandburg read ythe Rootabaga tales, but he had a very sing-songy voice. I
didn't think that Robert Frost had a lot of expression in reading his
poetry. On the other hand, Maya Angelou is excellent at reading her
material.
