hi. We have HP scanners I have the envy 4500 and my husband has the envy 4520.
We've used them for scanning as well as printing and we like them a lot for that

Hello. It has been many years since I've done any sort of serious
scanning and I'd like to get back into it. I want a scanner that can
capably handle paperbacks and one which is fast. The last scanner that I
owned was an HP 3p which could do a pass in 10 seconds and I'd get very
accurate scans with OpenBook during the days of the Ruby Edition up to
around v6.0. As I just found out that updating to OpenBook 9 is cheaper
than I thought it would be I'd like to get a modern USB scanner and
would like some recommendations. Someone on another list recommended
that I consider Plustek scanners and I think the 4100 was one that was
mentioned. I welcome thoughts and opinions from anyone on this topic.
