Good for you, Amber. I love cats and wish I could have one but I'm transition
from one guide dog to another soon plus having to make a decision what becomes
of my retired guide dog and my pet dog, so life is nuts; but maybe next year
I'll find my perfect kitty.

Hi all:
Sorry I haven't been around much, life has been pretty crazy! A few things
of general interest.
First big news... I'm getting a kitten! I have wanted one for the longest
time since our pet cat died when I was a freshman in college... He was 16, and
my dad decided not to get another one. Well since that time, I have always
wanted a cat, and a friend of mine asked if I would be willing to take one in.
Her cat adopted her when she was pregnant, so L... has to get good homes for
the kittens. After doing calculations, talking to my vet about what I need to
know about her, and asking some friends of mine about cat care, especially with
a guide dog around, I finally decided to take the plunge. I went out and got
all of the cat stuff I will need for the new girl... I know it will be a girl
because all of the kittens were girls. I decided to name her Lucy. I should
get her next week sometime. I'm excited, but also very nervous. I hope we will
all be OK, dog and cat included!
That's basically my big news. I just had to share, as all of my friends are
sick of hearing about her. I better run. I need to pack for a friend's
bachelorette party and wedding shower this weekend. I'll see you all on Sunday
when I get back!
