Memo from Helping Hands for the Blind
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you
Dear Friends,
As we approach Thanksgiving in the middle of our Covid Crisis, on behalf of
Helping Hands for the Blind, I want to thank you from the bottom of my
heart. The Accessible World and Radio Out of the Past Family have saved our
great charitable organization.
Earlier this past summer, I informed you that due to Covid our thrift stores
have closed down. At this time, I had to make a very difficult decision. Pat
Price, our great founder and I always believed that we should never ask
blind persons for funding. We were here to serve the blind and not to ask
for money.
Due to our calamity, I had to make a new decision and come to you for help
and you responded in a magnificent fashion. Many wonderful people donated to
Helping Hands for the Blind perhaps with money that you didn't have. We paid
our Zoom bill and due to your invaluable assistance have been able to
survive.
To those who simply did not have any extra funding to make a financial
donation, I thank you as well. Your attendance at our meetings makes
everything all worth it. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
We now have one thrift store and thus our funding is greatly reduced, but we
anticipate that we shall be able to pay our Zoom bill for 2021. If some of

So, despite the crisis that we face as Americans, because of your kind
generosity, Helping Hands for the Blind survives and we shall continue to
serve our blind community.
