Make sure you do an alt/n to bring up the notification bar.

That is not your problem. I am using JAWS 13 with Windows 7 and I E 9 myself and they are downloading just fine. I am not sure I understand your question though. Let me try to take a guess at what you mean. It is necessary to convert these books into MP3 before they can be downloaded. If they have just recently been converted for someone else then they might be ready immediately. If they have not been converted, though, depending on the book and the backlog of conversions to be made you might have to wait a while. If that is the case then you will be notified by email when they are ready and you can go to your download history page to download them. If that is not the problem you are having then my other guess is this. A lot of people who are used to Windows versions prior to 7 and Internet Explorer prior to 9 are having trouble understanding how to use it to download. If you have successfully downloaded other books using that set up then I am thinking that might not be the problem. But if it is then after you click the download link just do an alt+S and the download will begin. When it finishes you will be able to find your download by going to the start menu and arrowing once to the right. Then arrow down once to the icon labeled owner. Click that and then arrow to the right until you find the icon labeled downloads and click that. Your download should be there. There are more complicated instructions that will allow you to download to specific folders and to do other things, but I am giving you the simplest instructions to download using the default settings. If I have not addressed your problem then ask again and be more specific. For example, what says ready? Is it an email? Is it your history page? Is it something else?

thanks, I will try this. I had not thought about the fact that they are not already converted. What is longest you've known anyone to have to wait.?
