It would be good if you could do a bcc on this sort of list message, so people don't have to read through a list of other people's email addresses to which the message is going to. bcc (blind carbon copy) sends the message to all the people listed, but doesn't show them as this message does. Some people may not even read it for getting tired of wading through the list of other people's addresses.

Hi Friends, This little note above our article is to remind you of our OTR audio chat room to be held this Thursday February 16, 2006, commencing at 8 pm (EST) in the old Radio Room at Talking Communities. Go to: www.talkingcommunities.com/pat. Enter on old Radio Room; enter on edit and write your name and enter and you should be in the room. All you need is a microphone or you may choose to text chat with us. Some software will automiatically install if this is your first time in our room. Hope to talk to you there. Robert Acostta

       COMING SOON: March 18, 2006
The Third Accessible World OTR Symposium will be on the air from 10 am
to 2 pm, Pacific Standard Time.
An old-time-radio convention that's free!
All you need is a computer and a pair of headphones or speakers to be
part of the 3rd edition of the OTR Symposium. You can sit in your
favorite armchair and listen to people talk about those fascinating
days when radio was something to cherish.
You can even interact with the speakers, using your microphone, or
typing into text-chat. Instructions will be provided in the program's
introduction at 10 am.
We're hard at work tying down the loose ends of the program, but here
are the highlights:
· Interviewers include: John and Larry Gassman, Bob Acosta
· Frank Bresee will be talking about the golden days of radio
·
In a Salute to radio dealers, who have kept this hobby alive, we'll be
chatting with Jerry Haendiges
·
Hang out with the First Ladies of Comedy--Janet Waldo, June Foray,
Shirley Mitchell and possibly others
·
Just the facts, Ma'am--memories of Dragnet with Herb Ellis, Peggy Weber
and Michael Hayde
·
Jim Cox shares insights into Game shows; and
·
Going Gang Busters with Ron Staley.
We are building an internet community of OTR enthusiasts with a couple
of list-serves.
Please join us for those:
The Old-Time-Radio Announce List:
for program information, date and time of the next symposium, and how
to connect to it.
OldTimeRadioAnnounce-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
OTR Symposium Discussion List:
We encourage interested parties to post to it--ask questions, share
information,
and suggest topics to cover.

If you were fortunate to be a part of the Second Symposium, you know
how special they are. If you missed it, here's your chance to listen
in.

Subject: Great article but a favor to ask
Hi Joy,
Our mailing lists do not take attached files. Could you please send me
a plain text copy of the article? I shall leave the OTR Digest to you
as i assume they take graphics. I can send this attached articles to
individual friends, but not to lists. hope i am not causing you
difficulty here.
Bob A.
