Hello back Pamela, Thanks so very much for your very helpful and wonderful E-mail!! This fixed my problem!! Once I renamed the copied mp3 file like you said with the _dd extension, I was successful in playing the copied mp3 file with Windows media player. This is fantastic. Again thanks so very much for this fantastic, great renaming the extension solution. Muchly appreciated. Hi: Once the file has been copied to the computer, rename the file with the _dd extension by deleting the dd extension, so it is an MP3 file again. Then it will work. Hello Howard, Thanks very much for the great suggestion, but when I try what you suggest copying and pasting under my computer, the mp3 files I want to copy from my Bookport to my computer, the file format of the copied mp3 file after I paste it onto my computer is not useable, the new copied mp3 file on my computer will not play. Instead when I right click on this copied mp3 file and try to play it using windows media player, I get the message this file is in a format that is not recognized, (grim). Look forward to any more helpful suggestions you might have on how I can transfer mp3 files from my bookport to my computer successfully. Just to let you know, the version of the firmware program on my bookport is bookport 2.2 which is the same software version I got with my bookport way back in October 2005. Could this be maybe partly causing my problem of why I cannot successfully copy and paste mp3 files from my bookport to my computer's hard drive using my computer, maybe the newest bookport firmware software will fix my problem? All the best, frustrated bookport 2.2 user, Hank From: Howard Kaufman<mailto:wa9top@xxxxxxxxx> To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 30, 2008 1:29 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: transferring files from the bookport to the computer? Skip the transfer program. Plyug in the bookport and treat it like a drive from either windows exploorer or my computer. Now copy and paste like from any other drive and folder.
