She is looking for a compact flash card. I recommend kingston, PNY, or sandisc. I'd grab a 2 gb card, because there's hardly any difference between the 1 and 2 gb in terms of pricing.

hope that helps

Subject: [bookport] question about flash cards

Hello listers!

Although I sold my Bookport to a friend a year or so ago, I have remained on this list watching for any info concerning any new ones.

However, the person who bought mine, is in the market for some new flash cards and and has checked on several web site selling such devices and is overwhelmed by what she finds listed there. Could someone please send some info on what she should look for and other things she should avoid.

I think that she is interested in a card in the 500 mb to 1 gb range.

I seem to recall that there was a certain type card bookport users needed to avoid and have no idea what it was. Seemed like there was some letter or number in the card specks.

Hope that I am making my self clear as to her needs.

Many thanks,

Ed,
