Missy: Perhaps, I'm not understanding exactly what you are wanting to do here, but try this: Try going into the Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, pick the AT&T Mike, and pick the Change tab. At this point, it will bring up the Install shield, then you should see another box with three Radio buttons for Modify, Repair, or Install. Try picking the Repair button. Then, see if it works with your other programs. Then, you can try to uninstall if you want. Incidentally, you can go into the Setting menu in Book Wizard and choose another voice from your PC. If that doesn't help, perhaps Larry or one of the others will have a better idea. I'm experiencing a very strange problem with my computer. I just purchased book wizard reader and it came with Mike, the ATT natural voice. Somehow, I had thought that it was going to include both Mike and Crystal, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway, I installed everything with no problem on Tuesday, and everything seemed to be working perfectly until this morning. When I go into the speech section of the windows XP's control panel, I receive the following message: "Speech Properties The requested task cannot be carried out because the necessary engine could not be created. Please select a different engine and/or a different audio device. OK" I can proceed from there; it takes me to the speech recognition tab, wich isn't what I want, but anyway, I can ctrl+tab to get to the text to speech settings. I can still choose my 1 Cepstral voice, the 2 L&H voices which came with the Kitchen games I have installed and the 3 microsoft voices, but if I try to select AT&T Mike, I receive the following error: "Speech Properties This voice cannot be played. Please try selecting another voice or selecting a different audio output device. OK" I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the AT&T natural voices software several times, and nothing seems to make a difference. The voice isn't even removed from my list of available voices when I uninstall it. If anyone has any ideas on what could have happened and how I might go about fixing it, I would very much appreciate it. I'm not comfortable playing around in my registry, but if there's any other method I can try to resolve this issue, I'd very much appreciate hearing about it. This wouldn't be so much of a problem, except that I had set up Mike as the voice for Book Wizard Reader and then told it to be self-voicing. Also, my Kitchen games have stopped working. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide in this matter, and I hope that everyone is having a great day. Missy
