[bookport] odd behaviour

Hello
I listen to bookport using my talking books machine as an external speaker.
I had just changed to the original flash card that came with bookport which
is nine months old. when there was a beep like it was stuck and then
silence.I was able to get it working again and my books seem to be all
there. my battery level is 68 percent.what causes this
