The purpose of the new BookPort user list is to have a forum where off topic
discussions can take place. The BookPort forum sponsered by APH is meant to be
a technical forum to answer specific question about the BP and how to use the
BP. The new list set up by John and also with my small assistance is to allow
people to talk on a variety of topics which touch the concerns of BookPort
users. Pamela has asked the off topic discussions not clutter the BP forum. So,
we wanted to offer a place for such discussions. All BP users are welcome to
post questions to the bookport_users list. We simply ask that you don't post
the same question on both lists, since your technical questions can most likely
be handled on the BP forum from APH.

Subject: [bookport] new users list

Hi All,

I setup a new user list, bookport_users. You can
join here:
//www.freelists.org/list/bookport_users

Or you can send an email to
bookport_users-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subscribe
in the Subject field.

The list comes with a free webpage which I think might
be useful as a list of links to handy stuff or make it
into a faq page. Anyway, it's there if we want to use
it, so if anyone has ideas on what to put on it, just
join the users list and post your idea.

Listers can pretty much talk about whatever they want,
as long as it doesn't generate into a flame war.

Hope this helps,

-jon
