If you press buttons 1 and 3 at the same time, the unit will lock. This
means that none of the buttons will function. To unlock it, simply
press 1 and 3 at the same time again.

Hello. I got my bookport yesterday. I think I'm really gonna like it.
I'm
listening to the manual to learn what all the buttons do. One thing I'm
wondering is there a way to keep it from coming on it you carry it in a
bag
or purse. I worry whether a button might accidently get pressed to
activate
it.
I took the batteries out when it wasn't using it yesterday. Sharon
