With the Bookport, that doesn't make any difference at all. But... it won't hurt anything.

Hi Carin,

I have always treated my Book Port just like any other mass storage device. Before disconnecting it, I use the "safely Remove" utility in the system tray. Maybe that would help.

My good god my book port has issues. If an inanimate object could
pout, mine would. Here's its latest episode.

Remember back when I said I had those irretrievable files? Well,
I got them off and formatted the card. But still when I plug in the BP, I just get the old bing bong but no boobeep from the wizard. So I activate the wizard, and it goes boobeep and everything is fine....
until...
I disconnect the bp, and the bp wizard still sings a merry tune
as if it's still connected! Why?

What an odd little device.

Jeremiah 29:11 - 14.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.
