This is something that we are taking a very close look at. We hope to
have a solution this year.

Hello. I am a windows and linux user, and would like either the specs
of
the data files to be published, so a utility could be written to
transfer books to the bookport (of course, the files would have to be
converted by external utilities to text, but that is easy). or, a way
that you could pre-convert a bunch of books into a directory that is
suitable for copying at a later time to the bookport. The bookport
shows
up as a mass-storage device under Linux, so it can be communicated
with.
Are you using external libraries not written by aph preventing you
from
publishing the specs for the bookport's index/bookmark file formats?
Thanks,
Tyler
