[bookport] Re: bookport jumping

Hi:

That's kind of weird.

Ask your friend if it happens with other files, or just that one?  If not, then 
it could be something in that particular file that is causing it to jump.  I 
have heard of data or corruption in a file that would cause similar behavior.  
She might try another download and then another transfer of the file and see if 
it stops.  It could be that there's data in the file that is causing this 
behavior.  If she played it on the computer, you may or may not be able to hear 
the noise--depending on how significant it is.  If it's the file itself, then 
she may have to abort it with the Book Port.

A friend just called to say that while she has been listening to an audio 
book on her bp that it suddenly jumps to a later part of the book or 
sometimes to the next book in the queue.  What should she do? Myself I have 
not run into this problem.
