Hello,

Just my opinion of course, but considering that the second time there was no
anomaly, sounds like the cell phone might have been your culprit.

Subject: [bookport] a weird experience

Hello, all. I had something really weird happen with my book port this
weekend, and wanted to write and ask if anyone else has ever experienced
this phenomena before. I was traveling to my grandparents' house and had the
bp in my purse as always with the headphones wire sticking out so that I
could listen. In a separate region of the purse, I had my cell phone turned
on.
Twice, within an hour or so, the bp spontaneously restored itself to the
factory settings and put me back to page 60 in the book I had been trying to
read. The bp's keypad was locked both times, and I wasn't touching anything
either time, so something else had to be causing the resets.
I'm wondering if somehow, the cell phone got a signal of some sort
thatsomehow transmitted to the bp, causing the resets to happen.
On the way home that night, I kept the bp more separated from the phone and
all was well. Also, all is well if the phone isn't turned on in the first
place, so is there any documentation that bp's don't function properly when
in close proximity to cell phones? Just curious as I've never had trouble
with my bookport before this incident. Any thoughts would be extremely
appreciated.
Missy
