Hi Chandan,

By default the Book Port turns off after 30 minutes because of its sleep timer.
You can turn this setting off in the Settings keypad by changing the sleep time
to 0.

I don't know why the Book Port didn't come on and started beeping after it shut
off, but I have had that sort of thing happen occasionally. Usually you can
just wait ten seconds for it to turn itself off when this happens, and then it
will turn on normally.

HTH,
Anna

Subject: [bookport] a slite problem

hi,
when listening to my new book port today I fased a slite problem.I was
listening to a 295mb mp3 file.the batry was 100%and after reading about 5%of
the book at a point the book port just stopped reading.I don't no why this
happened.I did not press any button.when I tryed to start the book again it
would not start but instead there were beeps coming from the book port.not from
the ear phones but from the book port.I removed the memory card but
nothing.then I removed the barites and replaced them again.only then the book
port started talking and the book started from where it had left reading.can
any1tell me as to why such thing happened?was there any mistake from my side?I
have transfered 1folder with 7audio books to the book port with windows
explorer.I still have 900mb free on my memory card.
I would be very greatful to any1who explains this to me.
 thanks a lot.
