Some files will upset Microsoft Word to the point where it will do what
you described. I don't know what it is about the files which causes
this. For now, you might want to try sending non-Word files until we get
some of your other problems figured out.

I took my bookport to work and installed it on my Gateway lap top.. I
was

able to transfer files. but:

(1) at first it said that bookport wasn't connected and did I want to
save

the files in the Queue

(2) I said yes but it then went back to sending files. I could hear

percentages in the background.

(3) the files eventually were sent but

Somehow Microsoft Word was opened (2003 version) and it wrote something
else

to the Word "normal" file.

I was in a loop where I couldn't get Word to close. it kept asking if
I

wanted to do a save as. but then wouldn't save it as.

(4) Our IT expert at work came in and we had to reboot the computer.

(5) Most of the files I transferred were garbled and did not work on
the
Bookport..but opened in the PC.

(6) I could transfer files from Internet Explorer to Bookport and
everything worked fine.

(7) I was able to open the Bookport directory in Windows Explorer. and

create folders and move files.

Please let me know your ideas! Your help is greatly appreciated!
