Hi Michael. I use a hub with AC power and have no problems at all.

Subject: [bookport] Unable to Update bookport firmware

Hi, Larry and anyone else who cares, smile. Unfortunately, I am unable to
get the book port firmware to update and I think I know why. Yes, I am a
beta tester so that one is out of the way. However, I have heard comments
to the effect that if a hub is connected to the USB port that the book
port's transfer will not launch properly. Do I really have to go to the
trouble of disconnecting the hub just to connect the book port to the USB
port and then try to download the firmware? If that is indeed the case,
will APH be able to resolve this somewhat inconvenient problem in the
future? All I have gotten are various errors which I can't remember and
other times the transfer software just plain won't launch. Please, help.
