What makes the recording quality low? Is it the mic or the software? If it is the software, could it be improved? Could the developers, for example, set the device up so that the user could pick a recording quality? Is it conceivable that this could be included in a future upgrade? Certainly not high fidelity. But it may suit your purpose in recording piano lessons. There's nothing like giving it a try to hear the results for yourself. Then you can decide if it is suitable.
