If you have BP Transfer set to check for updates, it will do so
automatically. This is the way it's set by default, so unless you changed
that setting, it will check every time the program starts. There hasn't been
a new version of the software in quite a while and given that BP II is now
the priority, I doubt that there'll be another one; at least, not for a
while. Normally, the software is only updated when the firmware is changed
and there are no changes to the firmware in the works as far as we
know...again, because of the work being done on the new model Book Port.

Please, I have a doubt. If I connect the bp to my pc doesn't this link get
activated and the bp is upgraded to the newest version, or do we need to go
to this link first in order to upgrade the bp?
