Is card access time even an issue in any environment other than digital
cameras?=20

Some cards are slower than others. I don't know of any card-access speed
issues with the current beta.

My wife gave the a birthday present of a Bookport but I have to
order it this morning. I've been helping her with hers and am
really looking forward to having one of my own.

I updated hers with the latest Beta and put in a new flash card
for music. It is a 256 MB card which she bought me to go with my
soon to be Bookport. I find that unlike other cards, this one
takes a long time to navigate between MP3 files. This is
especially true as I move down the file names in a folder. It
also takes a long time to start playing when first I come upon a
song. Is this the card she bought me or a problem with the latest
firmware? I suspect the former. I believe it is a Lexer or
something similar.
