I missed Beta 21. Downloaded Beta 22 and power problem started. Went from
battery 100% overnight to 50%.

Subject: [bookport] More info on beta x.22 FW: Battery Drainage with latest
beta

The attached note (below this one) pertains to my experiences with
battery drainage on beta x.21.
I installed beta x.22 last night, and I think the batteries are still
draining. This evening, with beta x.22 installed, the Bookport was
unresponsive when in locked mode with "beeps" on. The unit did not work
at all. Then I installed freshly charged batteries and all was well.
So, I guess beta x.22 is still producing this battery drain problem.

I certainly hope this problem can be fixed soon - Thank heavens for
rechargeable batteries!
