I completely agree. It always throws me when the BM beeps when I set a bookmark, especially since it's exactly the same as the error or "null keystroke" beep. Ideally, "Set Bookmark" and "Clear Bookmark," but with a slight pause between the first and second words. I agree, too, about an announcement for the save settings function. As a general thing, a spoken announcement for something that actually results in an action being successful; a beep for a keystroke that's not assigned. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dale Lieser" <drlieser@xxxxxxx> To: "Book Port List" <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 12:59 PM Subject: [bookport] Increments in Menus I would find it helpful to have the volume and rate adjustments speak the increment number, rather than simply the direction of adjustment. The numbers as spoken when navigating from one setting to the other in the settings menu make it quick and easy to compare settings. Any thoughts on the matter? Dale
