currently the best high-end battery
I just bought the Maha mhc204w charger, seems to be the currently top rated

Subject: [bookport] Favorite rechargeable batteries?

I use Sanyo Ni-MH 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries in my Book Port. They
have a very steady performance curve that is similar to alkaline
batteries (i.e., they don't die quickly and unexpectedly like some
batteries) and seem very reliable. The last set I had in the Book Port
lasted about 2200 minutes if I recall correctly, which is about 36 hours.

I've used lithium batteries as well, and while they last for about 100
hours, they tend to die abruptly with no warning, which has
inconvenienced me a few times.

So my preferred batteries for the Book Port are the Sanyo Ni-MH 2500 mAh
rechargeable batteries. They're economical, environmentally friendly and
reliable.

I think a set of 4 costs about $15 at Amazon.com.

Peter
