I tried that, and the transfer made that bee-buzz noise that means no book port
found.

Carin,
Are you able to start the Bookport Transfer program manually and see the
Bookport connected via USB? Sometimes the autodetect function gets confused
about which drive letter to associate the BP with and you will hear the
bing, but the transfer program doesn't automatically some up. In those
cases, I start the BP Transfer program manually from the Start menu.

Why? The USB makes that familiar bing bong noise, but transfer insists it is
not hooked up. The unit is working fine. The battery is at 49%, but all I
want to do is transfer one text file.
Any help would be appreciated.
