[bookport] Re: Bug re-introduced in the note taker function

Hi,

I can replicate this problem following James' steps. If, however, I press 
escape and exit edit and go back in to the editor with dots 3-6-9, the 
statistics command works as expected. It just appears to be broken for me 
on a new file that has not been exited.
