Sorry 'bout that. I copied the wrong number.

The correct number is 1-877-353-7297

Hi don,

I called the number you posted below for customer service and it is a fax
number. Do you happen to have a better number to order Sound taxi?
Thanks.

Hi Nancy,

Unfortunately, I couldn't go to that page without ordering another copy.

RegNow, part of Digital River, is the company that handles transactions for
Sound Taxi. I called RegNow customer support who told me that you may call
them to place an order. The number is
1-800-442-3172.

Regards,

Hello don,

This is a bit off topic, but I just went to the Sound Taxi web site,
and I got stuck in the ordering and privacy links. The credit card page says
you must review and agree to the policy, but doesn't provide a jaws friendly
way that I can find to get back to the place your order button.

Any suggestions. I will be thrilled if this solution works with the
book port.

Thank you Nancy

Greetings,

I need to correct my message from yesterday, below. I said W M F
rather than W M A. Sound Taxi can convert any file that is playable with
Windows Media Player to M P 3, including Unabridged / Overdrive Books.

Regards,

Don...

Hi Andy,

As you've already read, BookPort does not play W M F files.
However, they can be converted to M P 3 files by a program called Sound Taxi
( http://www.soundtaxi.info/ ). Sound Taxi is a $15 program that can
convert any file that Windows Media Player can play to M P 3, regardless of
protection. You may also download a free trial to see if is suitable for
use with your screen reader.

Regards,

Don...

Hi, I have some books that are borrowed from the
Unabridged library system. It is managed with the OverDrive program and I
can read them either with the overdrive program or Windows Media. I guess
that the extension is WMA. Can the bookport except this? Do I need to get
a player that will play these types? If that is the case, can someone
suggest a very good player? I need it to be blind friendly of course.
Also, I will need tons of room due to I am a audible book buff because of
the BookPort. I really love this bookport. Andy.
