[bookport] Bookport not working at all

I was trying to transfer a book to the book port when it gave me an error
message.
Not sour what it was, but the unit will not respond when I plug it into the
USB.
I also bough a 4.0gig flashcard. Tried the reset command and format. What
should I do next? I'm charging my batteries to see if that will work.
