Hello Sharon. What firmware is on your machine? Are you using alkaline or rechargeable batteries? What type file, or files, are you reading when the machine becomes unresponsive? While I don't work for APH, I trouble-shoot for a living, so the more answers to these questions, or other patterns you can identify, the more likely that APH or other users might be able to help. Good luck. It just now refused to respond to that command and it was necessary to remove the batteries and replace them in order to get a reset.Do you have an opinion about what is happening? Has any one else had this problem? Is there anything that I could be doing wrong? I have one of the first Book Ports and this is definitely a new problem. Any ideas will be appreciated. Sharon
