Okay, thanks, Rob. I may try it again and allow it to sit for a really
long time to verify that it really didn't just stop.

Walt:

Microsoft Word is used to send HTML files, so progress is not
available. I suspect you just didn't wait long enough.

I'm running the latest betas of both the firmware and software. Last
night, I was moving several books to a newly created folder on my BP.
All but one were .txt files and these all were transferred without any
hitches. The remaining file was an HTML file. The HTML file was over 3
meg in size and after I initiated the transfer, nothing whatever
appeared to happen and the Cancel button had no effect. I had to open
the Task Manager to stop the process. I brought the HTML file up in
Internet Explorer on my PC and saved it as a .txt file and I had no
problem whatever transferring this to the Book Port.

I'm wondering if perhaps there was a lot of pre-processing taking
place
on this file (I don't move very many HTML files to the BP, so can't
remember if the transfer software pre-processes HTML or not) and I
just
wasn't giving the program enough time to do its thing. If this was the
case, I'd suggest that some kind of progress indicator with tones be
incorporated so that others don't make the same mistake I did by
thinking nothing was happening when, in fact, there was necessary
activity taking place.

I can send the HTML file to APH if that would be of any help.
