OK, I decided to fix the error which I did with the /f switch on chkdsk. = I then ran the firmware update software you made available, and got no = error messages. All seems well. Much thanks for the extra mile on = this. I wish I knew what went wrong when, but I suspect it was when I = tried to update without earphones and screwed up somehow.
