Hi Sorry to confuse you, but I don't have that power. Many years ago I used to program and remember using the multiplr file input to read a group of files. I would like this facility in the transfer tool but :- 1) I was using VBA a version of Visual Basics and this facility may not be available in the software language used by Springer. 2) Springer would have to modify the program. The list is a useful forum for raising update ideas and so far I have had your interest and no rejections, which would indicate a good idea or everyone else is on holiday. Hi Dave, is it easy to modify the transfer tool to do multiple files? wondering if you could send me a copy of your modified transfer tool? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave Garside (UK)" <davegarside@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookcourier@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, August 03, 2005 5:59 PM Subject: [bookcourier] Re: folders and transfer tool an upgrade plea. Hi The transfer tool enables filters and file navigation but unfortunately you can only transfer (and delete) one file at a time, each file requiring a seperate confirmation. Explorer gives multi file transfer but without the modifications and navigation facility. This is an issue with MP3 files when you want to load a lot of files for a holiday or as in my case my book is made up of 270 MP3 files. The solution is to modify the transfer tool program to use the multiple file rather than the single file input. (Geek note this was introduced in VBA a few years back and hopefully can be used in this program too). At the sametime it would be nice if the arrived in the same order (alphibetical/numerical, I seem to always get the last first when I try multiple file transfer, both with explorer and the transfer tool. Hi There: The Book Courier Transfer tool only transfers files. If you transfer mp3 files via the Transfer Tool, you will be able to take advantage of the navigation features for mp3 provided by Book Courier. If you choose to use windows explorer to transfer files to your removable disc, which is the flashcard on your Book Courier, i believe you will find that your navigation features will not function well. You also will encounter this problem if you choose to copy folders of mp3 files to your removable disc using the windows transfer method. What it boils down to is this: in order to gain full advantage of the Book Courier's mp3 capabilities, you need to transfer each file individually, via the Book Courier Transfer tool.
